Built along the Merrimack River, Lowell is the 4th largest city in Massachusetts and has served as Bard Electrophysiology Division’s hometown since 1999. Located 30 miles west of Boston in Middlesex County, our Lowell site serves as headquarters to 150 Bard Electrophysiology Division employees, as well as home base for employees from C. R. Bard’s Corporate Credit & Collections group. Employees commute from the surrounding communities in central Massachusetts and from nearby southern New Hampshire.
Having once been known for its textile manufacturing in the brick mills that line the river, today many of Lowell’s historic mill buildings are being renovated to house both residences and smaller businesses. Lowell not only offers easy access to Boston-area cultural offerings, but also serves as home to our own Lowell Auditorium, the Merrimack Repertory Theatre, the University of Massachusetts–Lowell, and both the Lowell Devils hockey team (an AHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils) and the Lowell Spinners baseball team (a single-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox). In addition to its close proximity to Boston area offerings, Lowell also offers easy access to outdoor activities and the natural beauty of the seacoast and the mountains of nearby New Hampshire and Maine
.
Local train stations provide a 40-minute ride into Boston’s North Station, and the office is close to several major highways and located within a one-hour access of Boston’s Logan International Airport, New Hampshire’s Manchester – Boston Regional Airport, and Providence, RI’s T. F. Greene Airport.
